Since 1796 Swiss companies have been producing the world's best musical movements for pocket watches,
singing birds and musical boxes of all kinds. Since 1865 when Charles Reuge began, and later as Guido Reuge, the inventor of the Kandahar ski binding, continued, in 2006 Reuge continues that fine tradition. Today they produce the 1865 Collection, the Lounge Collection and the Studio Collection. In 1811 the musical boxes were made in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland, and continue to be produced there today.
